FLash, Video and other Media

Flash:
We currently publish to flashplayer 9.0. These files are housed internally.

Video:
Podcasts/webcasts/videos are being loaded into our external vendor “PowerStream” for streaming media.  PowerStream
is the JPMC corporate standard vendor for streaming media.

The JPMC network is gated so that only so much of the network bandwidth can be consumed by streaming media So there isn’t any concern with the JPMC network for streaming media from our testing in 2007 with ssJPMC streaming media network engineers.

For ROL participants being served streaming media from PowerStream:

The majority of participants will be connecting from a non-jpmc computer over Internet to PowerStream

These ROL participants have NO impact on JPMC network

      .

JPMC participants connecting from JPMC computer will be streaming over JPMC network to Internet then to PowerStream

So the JPMC participants on JPMC connected computers are the only streaming users that will
put load on the JPMC network.

      Media:
Podcasts are currently housed internally and special attention must be given to file size. We are in the process of moving this to Powerstream
